OAU students experience water scarcity

The students  of Obafemi Awolowo University is currently facing the predicament of inflow and outflow of water,  even in the midst examinations.

The water Scarcity which in the school has been partially begun since Sunday February 4th 2017, and now
It became general phenomenon in halls of residence in which some residents of hostels like Awolowo hall of residence, Angola hall of residence and mozambique halls are left with no option to remain dirty and unable to cook.

In series of interviews our correspondents had with different students from some halls of residence, it was discovered that the current situation has left many  students to remain dirty, or not being able to cook while some have resolved to fetching water from the stream, while some stick being on queue with their containers in order to fetch water which seems not to be forth coming.

According to an Angola residents who refused to disclose his identity due to the fear of being suspended, he said that " I have gone to everywhere to look for water,  so I just resolved to fetching water from the stream at least to bath before writing my exam for today.

While speaking with the Awolowo hall chairman Samuel Olayemi popular known as SO said that " we have contacted the management and they told us that there will be hasten solution to it."

Nigeria school of thought inaugurates new executives

tr">By Oludiran olusola The Nigerian students of thought has inaugurated her new executive members on Thursday 23rd, 2017 The inauguration which took place in the executive secretariat of Fajuyi hall of residence of Obafemi Awolowo University, with the main aim of giving the baton to the next set of leaders in order to continue the raising of Nigerian students conscious , after the election which brought in the new executives. OAU SU president impeached!

The parliamentarians of Obafemi Awolowo University have impeached the President of the students union Oyekan Ibukun Edward in their parliamentary sitting which held today Saturday 4th November , 2017. The impeachment motions was said to be moved by two honorables before they later voted, in which the result of the vote validated the impeachment of the President with 37 votes out 51 honorables present in the parliamentary sitting. According to the clerk of the house Iyiola Oluwatosin Damilare in his press release regarding the President 's impeachment, which says "the President was impeached because he used the students' union bus to convene cultists  to campus on November 1st 2017 to threaten the peace of the peace of Obafemi Awolowo University community just to defend his Adolf Hitler manner.
