FASA Election Suspended.

The Faculty of Arts Students Association election has been declared suspended after the hot protest by the electorates  against the electioneering process.

The election was declared Suspended  by the electoral committee chairman of the faculty David Olanrewaju around 2pm on 20st December  ,2018  after  a lot of complaints have been wired against the electoral committee that it deprived  many eligible electorates from exercise  their franchise right as most of the voters from linguistics and African languages  could not find their names on the list which validated them to vote.

According to the electoral committee chairman David Olanrewaju said " the election was suspended  because of the disparity which we have in the list in which some people could not find their names on the list  given to  us by the Financial secretary of the association. We expected the financial secretary to give us the list two  days prior to the election but she just gave us the list this morning"

While speaking with the president of Linguistics and African languages, Olutoke Emmanuel he asserted that "we realized that most of our people which I personally know they registered and paid their dues at faculty level we could not find their names on the list, having seen that development we had to call for the cancellation of the election because by random checking we discovered that 70 percent of the people in our department's names could not be found in their list.

While speaking with a member of Faculty Tobi also known as Halootha said " it is very bad of the financial secretary of association not to present the actual names of the voters and as such the election deserved the cancellation.

While speaking with the presidential aspirants what their takes are on the matter, Akanho Olashile one of the presidential aspirant said " the financial secretary was supposed to drop the list forty eight hours before the election but because they wanted to doctor the list"

While speaking with the other presidential  Komolafe Tolulope,  he said  " if the names of the registered members could not be found on the list, it means they were disenfranchised and since that mistake could happen from the financial secretary, she has to be sanctioned by the appropriate quarter."

Meanwhile , all efforts to reach the other presidential aspirant Adewale Ayobami waliyu was abortive.

Nigeria school of thought inaugurates new executives

tr">By Oludiran olusola The Nigerian students of thought has inaugurated her new executive members on Thursday 23rd, 2017 The inauguration which took place in the executive secretariat of Fajuyi hall of residence of Obafemi Awolowo University, with the main aim of giving the baton to the next set of leaders in order to continue the raising of Nigerian students conscious , after the election which brought in the new executives. OAU SU president impeached!

The parliamentarians of Obafemi Awolowo University have impeached the President of the students union Oyekan Ibukun Edward in their parliamentary sitting which held today Saturday 4th November , 2017. The impeachment motions was said to be moved by two honorables before they later voted, in which the result of the vote validated the impeachment of the President with 37 votes out 51 honorables present in the parliamentary sitting. According to the clerk of the house Iyiola Oluwatosin Damilare in his press release regarding the President 's impeachment, which says "the President was impeached because he used the students' union bus to convene cultists  to campus on November 1st 2017 to threaten the peace of the peace of Obafemi Awolowo University community just to defend his Adolf Hitler manner.
