Exclusive interview with OAU upcoming artiste -J.BOY

Cyrusgist : can we meet you?

J.BOY: My name is Adewumi Adeniyi Jeremiah, AKA Monalisa crooner, Monalisa Poppy,  I am from Ondo State, Akure to be precise, I am actually a prince from Akure, I am also  a part two student of  English Language in Obafemi Awolowo University .

Cyrusgist : what else do you do apart from being a student?

J. Boy : I an artiste and  I am also a fashion designer

Cyrusgist : As an artiste ,what genre of music do you do?

J.BOY: Afro Pop

Cyrusgist : How many tracks have you released so far?

J.BOY: Currently I have one release and that is the popular Monalisa you guys are trending and vibing with,  and I am also working on another very soon.

Cyrusgist : Can you tell us the title of the song you are working on?

J.BOY: The title of the song  I am working on is Formular and I am releasing it on 1st ,December 2017.

Cyrusgist : Who is your role model in music industry.

J. BOY : For every Afro Artiste in Nigeria,  your role model has to be Fela because he was the one that brought Afro to the world,  my main role model is Fela, after then I can now be mentioning Wizkid,  Terry Apala, and Qdot.

Cyrusgist:  As an upcoming Artiste in Obafemi Awolowo University, don't you have any role model amongst OAU Artistes?

J. BOY : I am not trying to be proud o, but I don't have any role model amongst them.

Cyrusgist : what is your relationship between you and other artistes on campus?

J. BOY : I see other artiste on campus as my brothers , although I don't limit myself to  OAU alone,  I am an artiste not an OAU artiste.

Cyrusgist : How have been coping as a student and an artiste?

J.BOY : Although, it has been difficult but I really appreciate God, because he has been making it easy for me.

Cyrusgist : Which artiste do you aspire to be like in Nigeria.

J.BOY: I like to be like Davido, in fact I prefer to be like Wizkid, I like the way sings in fact he is the Afro King presently.

Cyrusgist : is it true that Nigerian's singers are not singing to change the society.

J.BOY: To me everything is about trend and vibe, because we are singing what people want and we have to change to what people want, we are singing base on what people like.

Cyrusgist : Do you have beef with any OAU artiste?

J.BOY: Presently, that is why I decided to take Afro Pop, I have my own style, I am not beefing anybody, I wish every one good luck and there is no artiste that is crossing my path, but if someone is, I will like the person to come and tell me and we will sort everything out.

Cyrusgist : Are you in a relationship?

J.BOY: (Laughs) I am not in a relationship, I am single to stupor, although I have crushes and I know some people who are crushing on me but presently I am not in a relationship.

Cyrusgist: Thank you for your time, it's been a nice thing having you here

J. BOY: Thank you!

Nigeria school of thought inaugurates new executives

tr">By Oludiran olusola The Nigerian students of thought has inaugurated her new executive members on Thursday 23rd, 2017 The inauguration which took place in the executive secretariat of Fajuyi hall of residence of Obafemi Awolowo University, with the main aim of giving the baton to the next set of leaders in order to continue the raising of Nigerian students conscious , after the election which brought in the new executives. According to the outgone president of the association, Ayo Toluwase while he was  giving speech at the inauguration ceremony, he said  that " when this  association was founded in 2014 , it was not for the graduated students to be flocking around after their graduation like some known associations like NANS , but to give the incoming generations opportunity to display their leadership skills with their acquired ideology and knowledge. OAU SU president impeached!

The parliamentarians of Obafemi Awolowo University have impeached the President of the students union Oyekan Ibukun Edward in their parliamentary sitting which held today Saturday 4th November , 2017. The impeachment motions was said to be moved by two honorables before they later voted, in which the result of the vote validated the impeachment of the President with 37 votes out 51 honorables present in the parliamentary sitting. According to the clerk of the house Iyiola Oluwatosin Damilare in his press release regarding the President 's impeachment, which says "the President was impeached because he used the students' union bus to convene cultists  to campus on November 1st 2017 to threaten the peace of the peace of Obafemi Awolowo University community just to defend his Adolf Hitler manner.
