PRESS RELEASE: BLACK DIAMONDS SUPPORT FOUNDATION TO FEED 5000 KIDS

Research has shown that over 3 million underaged  children die every year across the world because of poor nutrition while over 60% of primary school students in Nigeria go to their respective schools hungry.

BLACK DIAMONDS SUPPORT FOUNDATION is a NGO founded by Defunke Adewumi because of her love for making the world a better place for the next generation.

The vision of this foundation is bigger than impossibilities and as we know, Poverty and Hunger go hand in hand, hence unless we raise awareness and fight for the progress of less privileged kids, eradication of hunger cannot be achieved.

BDSF is positioned to support indigent children and adults in slums, to develop strategies, support techniques to enhance their quality of life.

PROJECT 5,000 is scheduled for December 26th (Boxing day), we will  be feeding , clothing , running free medical check ups,oral  medications , giving back -to-school packs , entertaining , showing love to these kids and making that day a memorable  one for them all. The kids shall be selected from the following areas; Makoko, Ijora badiya, Ajegunle and Iwaya.

We will  be visiting and consulting the community leaders of these locations to make our intentions known and seek their support and consent.

TESLIM BALOGUN STADIUM IS OUR VENUE for PROJECT 5,000. we've met with the management of  the Stadium and obtained their support.  A letter is to be taken to the Stadium DG for official purpose but the stadium is signed and sealed.  We've also prepared letters to be delivered to the Surulere Police Command for security.

Items needed include,but not limited to ; 5,000 school bags, 5,000 mosquito nets, 5000 water bottles, 5,000 socks, 15 bags of rice, 5 cows, 10 kegs(25ltrs) of groundnut oil, 6,000 frizzy drinks(kids, volunteers and vendors), 5,000 small gifts from father Christmas, 5,000 sex education books, 25,000 exercise books, thousands of well used clothes, 10 baskets of tomatoes and peppers, 2 bags(50kg) of onion, 5 cartons of maggi, 5 bags of salt, 200 dozens of pure water, 6,000 take away plates and spoons amongst other items.

Nigeria school of thought inaugurates new executives

tr">By Oludiran olusola The Nigerian students of thought has inaugurated her new executive members on Thursday 23rd, 2017 The inauguration which took place in the executive secretariat of Fajuyi hall of residence of Obafemi Awolowo University, with the main aim of giving the baton to the next set of leaders in order to continue the raising of Nigerian students conscious , after the election which brought in the new executives. OAU SU president impeached!

The parliamentarians of Obafemi Awolowo University have impeached the President of the students union Oyekan Ibukun Edward in their parliamentary sitting which held today Saturday 4th November , 2017. The impeachment motions was said to be moved by two honorables before they later voted, in which the result of the vote validated the impeachment of the President with 37 votes out 51 honorables present in the parliamentary sitting. According to the clerk of the house Iyiola Oluwatosin Damilare in his press release regarding the President 's impeachment, which says "the President was impeached because he used the students' union bus to convene cultists  to campus on November 1st 2017 to threaten the peace of the peace of Obafemi Awolowo University community just to defend his Adolf Hitler manner.
