Breaking! OAU Students congress postponed

The Central Executive Council of Obafemi Awolowo University has postponed the students congress which is supposed  to come up on July 7th 2017.

The Congress is said to be the  first of its kind called by Oyekan Ibukun (Dr Ibk) -led administration, but it is said to be postponed.

While speaking with the P.R.O of the student union Okediji Simon, he said " I was not aware before I rebroadcast the news this morning,  but later I got to know through the Secretary General that the President has postponed the Congress because the newly elected VC will be inaugurated on that same day, for this reason  we have to change the the day. He reiterated,  it is not for any foul play or whatsoever!"

In this  light,  the P.R.O has promised to broadcast the latest developments round the halls of residence.

Nigeria school of thought inaugurates new executives

tr">By Oludiran olusola The Nigerian students of thought has inaugurated her new executive members on Thursday 23rd, 2017 The inauguration which took place in the executive secretariat of Fajuyi hall of residence of Obafemi Awolowo University, with the main aim of giving the baton to the next set of leaders in order to continue the raising of Nigerian students conscious , after the election which brought in the new executives. According to the outgone president of the association, Ayo Toluwase while he was  giving speech at the inauguration ceremony, he said  that " when this  association was founded in 2014 , it was not for the graduated students to be flocking around after their graduation like some known associations like NANS , but to give the incoming generations opportunity to display their leadership skills with their acquired ideology and knowledge. OAU SU president impeached!

The parliamentarians of Obafemi Awolowo University have impeached the President of the students union Oyekan Ibukun Edward in their parliamentary sitting which held today Saturday 4th November , 2017. The impeachment motions was said to be moved by two honorables before they later voted, in which the result of the vote validated the impeachment of the President with 37 votes out 51 honorables present in the parliamentary sitting. According to the clerk of the house Iyiola Oluwatosin Damilare in his press release regarding the President 's impeachment, which says "the President was impeached because he used the students' union bus to convene cultists  to campus on November 1st 2017 to threaten the peace of the peace of Obafemi Awolowo University community just to defend his Adolf Hitler manner.
